Viva La France

Last week we explored the city of lights and other things francais. We read several books such as Crepes by Suzette, which featured a little crepe making girl who sold her pancakes throughout the city of Paris. Of course, we just had to try the recipe in the back of the book for our very own crepes.

We also read the The Cat who Walked Across France and Puss in Boots. Two of Pickle's favorite movies Beauty and the Beast and Ratatouille are based in France so we re-watched those and saw another treat online--The Red Balloon. This movie was made 50 years ago about a little boy and his balloon in the city of Paris. You can watch it on You Tube for free. Pickle really liked it.

We also found some games to play at the Eiffel Tower's website and got to see a 360 view from the top online. Just like being there (:) !

We only did one art project--a flag made from tearing tissue paper and gluing it down. I think it turned out rather well.

Now we are on to the Amazon Rainforest.

Links to come--I can't easily add them from my MAC
