We had a patriotic 4th with a wonderful visit to the Waxhaw parade with Mimi, Papa, Carrie, Casey and assorted friends. Mike and Gigi joined us at Mimi's for a BBQ. Pickle had spent mornings that week at a local day camp where the theme was "Red White and Blue" so he is wearing his creations--a visor and a medal. He also made a shirt, but opted for the flag shirt instead.
The parade is the perfect small town celebration--fire trucks, clowns, soldiers, bands, and tractors. There was even an impromptu interruption by a train.
Bug enjoyed the outing too, but it was naptime so he slept through most of it.
