Our world travels continued to China and Mexico. In China, we learned about pandas, made a flag, learned a little about Chinese writing and read lots of books. Among our favorite books were Rabbit's Gift Two of Everything, The Stonecutter, and The Boy Who Painted Dragons.
In Mexico, we made a sun of handprints, a sombrero from a paper cup and plate, and a poncho from a paper bag. We ate taquitos one night which Pickle really liked. Our books were Elena's Serenade about a girl who wants to be a glassblower, Under the Lemon Moon and Mice and Beans.
Next week we are on to Alaska where Mimi and Papa will be spending 3 weeks with missionaries and then to France where Aunt Carrie had friends visit from this week.
